The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is a high-performance sportbike produced by the Japanese manufacturer Kawasaki since 2004. Launched as the successor to the Ninja ZX-9R, it was designed from the ground up with a clear focus on circuit performance, quickly becoming the definitive benchmark in the highly competitive liter-class superbike segment.
The motorcycle is powered by a ferocious 998cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine that produces over 200 horsepower, delivered through a close-ratio transmission and housed in a lightweight aluminum twin-spar frame. Over its generations, it pioneered the integration of advanced electronic rider aids derived directly from racing, including multi-level traction control, launch control, cornering management functions, and an electronic steering damper.
Its track-focused engineering achieved legendary status in the Superbike World Championship, where the racing variant of the machine dominated the global sport for a decade. Under northern Irish rider Jonathan Rea, the Ninja ZX-10R secured an unprecedented six consecutive world titles from 2015 to 2020, cementing its reputation as one of the most successful production-based racing motorcycles in history.
In recent years, the motorcycle underwent a significant aerodynamic and technological evolution, featuring integrated winglets that generate substantial downforce, a distinctive aggressive front cowl design, and a full-color TFT digital display with smartphone connectivity. It remains a top choice for professional racers and track-day enthusiasts worldwide, representing the pinnacle of Kawasaki’s engineering capabilities.
